Free Belarus Museum at the Belarus Beehive 2.0 Closing Conference
October 16, 2026
Natalia Zadziarkouskaya, Director of the Free Belarus Museum, took part in the Belarus Beehive 2.0 closing conference in Warsaw. Key topics included the resilience of civil society in challenging and complex circumstances, the importance of investing in the institutional and organisational development of Belarusian civil society organisations, as well as digitalisation and community resilience.
As part of a joint presentation showcasing successful initiatives supported by the Belarus Beehive 2.0 programme, we presented the results of our project, “Musealisation of Protest Artefacts in Belarus.” Thanks to this project, more than 143 artefacts from Belarus were added to museum collections, the exhibition Depatriation was organised, and two educational videos were produced on preserving and digitising artefacts at home.
“For the Free Belarus Museum, taking part in meetings like these is not only an opportunity to share the results of our work, but also an excellent chance to strengthen partnerships and identify new avenues for cooperation with leading Belarusian civil society organisations working towards future democratic change in Belarus,” says the Museum’s director.
Our sincere thanks to the Belarus Beehive 2.0 team for their support, fruitful cooperation, and belief in the strength of Belarusian culture and community!
