Music, solidarity, and the taste of freedom: the Belarusian diaspora gathered on the banks of the Vistula to support political prisoners and their families.

On September 27 in Warsaw, the large open-air festival #67FreeDay took place — a celebration of solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners and their loved ones. The event was organized by the Belarusian Association of Political Prisoners “Za Volyu!” with the support of partners and friends of Belarus.

On the festival stage, well-known Belarusian musicians performed: Siarhei Bashlykevich (Leibonik), Yury Stylski (Dai Darohu!), Ales Dzianisau, Uladz Bernat (Dzieciuki), Ulia Paulovich (Atesta), Ales Yashchanka, and Siarzhuk Charniak. Special moments included performances by former political prisoners Anatol Khinevich and Siarhei Daliveli, who shared their experiences and words of encouragement for those still behind bars.

Special guests included Polish artists Szczupak and Kocur, demonstrating solidarity with Belarusians through music and art. The festival was hosted by music journalist Maryna Savitskaya and actor, free Kupala Theatre performer Ihar Sihoŭ.

Guests could not only enjoy live music but also taste Belarusian cuisine — vegan treats, pilaf, shashlik, and the legendary draniki prepared by Za Volyu!. The festive and warm atmosphere united Belarusians and Poles in a shared commitment to freedom, solidarity, and human dignity.

Entrance to the festival was free, but attendees could donate from 50 zlotys to support political prisoners. All funds collected went to Za Volyu! projects — assisting the families of detainees and supporting former political prisoners.

Partners of the event included the Free Belarus Museum, the Czech branch of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office, the Representation of the United Transitional Cabinet for National Revival, and the association Razam.ch.

The #67FreeDay festival became yet another testament to the fact that the Belarusian community, wherever it may be, remains united in its pursuit of freedom and justice.
