The original of the famous map of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, commissioned by Mikołaj Radziwiłł Sierotka, is on display at the Museum of Free Belarus. On May 23, there will also be an open lecture titled “Belarus on Ancient Maps” with Aleksei Adamovich, a researcher and author of the book Jan Nieprzecki and the Map of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The program will cover five key stages of Belarusian cartography, Mercator, the Jesuits, and why ancient maps are more than just geography.

The lecture will take place on May 23 at 7:00 PM. Admission is free, but registration is required.
