An extraordinary woman, an outstanding writer, and a courageous, unbreakable person has passed away Sviatlana Kurs.
She often said that she loved the Free Belarus Museum for its atmosphere and always gladly accepted our invitations. We, the museum team, loved and deeply respected Svetlana.
Once, at the opening of an exhibition dedicated to women, she donated a special artifact to the museum's collection — one as extraordinary as she was. It was a piece of blue soap shaped like a tractor, carrying the scent of flowers.
It will remain in the museum's collection, preserving the fragrance of flowers and the story of a true Belarusian woman — a story we will continue to tell, and of someone we will all miss deeply.
A profound loss for us all...
