Yesterday, the Free Belarus Museum had the honor of taking part in the celebration of King’s Day — Koningsdag — at the invitation of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Poland.
Koningsdag is a national holiday in the Netherlands celebrating the King’s birthday; a day of unity, openness, solidarity, and shared celebration — values that are also close to us.
For the Free Belarus Museum, it is especially important to be part of an international community built on mutual support, trust, and shared democratic principles. We are sincerely grateful to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Poland for their partnership and support.
Thanks to the Embassy’s support within the MATRA program, the project “The Free Belarus Museum as a Center for Preserving Historical Memory” is being implemented. During this time, the museum has collected more than 600 original artifacts related to the contemporary democratic movement in Belarus and beyond.
With the support of partners, significant exhibition projects have been realized, including: “Fragments,” “Nothing Particularly New,” “123,” “Entry Point: Women’s Cause,” and others. A new museum website has also been developed and launched:

Thank you for your trust, solidarity, and joint efforts to preserve memory, culture, and the values of freedom.
