Initiative to Raise the White-Red-White Flag at the Grunwald Battlefield
The Free Belarus Museum has joined an initiative by the Belarusian democratic community to raise the white-red-white flag — the historic national symbol of the Belarusian people—at the Grunwald Battlefield alongside the flags of Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine.
The Museum has sent an official letter to the Museum of the Battle of Grunwald asking it to consider this proposal, while members of the Museum have added their signatures to the corresponding petition.
This initiative is not only a tribute to the ancestors who fought as part of the army of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at the Battle of Grunwald, but also a sign of respect for our shared history, freedom, and dignity.
