On 17 July 2022, the Free Belarus Museum opened its doors in Warsaw for the first time. Since then, the Museum has built a collection of more than 680 artefacts. By collecting material evidence of contemporary Belarus, we seek to reflect on our society—its heroic aspirations and tragic experiences, its solidarity, resilience, and hope.
"Entry Point " offers an introduction to contemporary Belarus through artefacts that preserve the memory of the country's struggle for freedom, dignity, and democracy.
The exhibition features the Museum's newest acquisitions from the past month alongside key objects that best represent the character of the collection. A special place is devoted to artefacts belonging to Belarusian political prisoners—one of the most important collections held by the Free Belarus Museum.
The exhibition will present to the public for the first time:
Visitors will also see symbols of the 2020 Belarusian protests, artefacts connected with Belarusian volunteers fighting in Ukraine, and many other objects that tell the story of the Belarusian people's struggle for freedom and democracy.
Our mission is to preserve for Belarusian culture what must not be lost.
We invite you to visit "Entry Point" and discover the history of contemporary Belarus through the objects that have become its living witnesses.
The exhibition has been made possible with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Warsaw.
