At the Museum of Free Belarus exhibition #67 is being held, dedicated to political prisoners. It features photographs of inmates who are still serving their sentences.

Oleg Kulesha, a representative of the Belarusian Association of Political Prisoners “To Freedom,” explains the exhibition’s title:
“#67 refers to the 67 penitentiary institutions, 67 prisons in Belarus. These include various types of facilities—concentration camps, forced hospitals, pre-trial detention centers. For every 137,000 people, there is one penitentiary institution. We are among the leaders in this regard. We have even surpassed the Russian Federation in the number of concentration camps, prisons, and detention centers. Every 320th person has gone through a prison.”

The exhibition runs until July 1 as part of the “Week Against Torture” campaign.
