The Free Belarus Museum is launching a project to digitize its unique collection dedicated to the Belarusian protest movement, political repression, the anti-war movement, and the lives of Belarusians in exile.

The project is carried out within the framework of the “Digital Culture 2025” program and is co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland through the state special-purpose Culture Support Fund.

As part of the project “Digitization and Public Access to the Resources of the Free Belarus Museum,” information about 200 objects — including works of contemporary art, documents, photographs, and personal artifacts of participants in the events — will be digitized and published online. Each item will feature a detailed description in three languages: Belarusian, Polish, and English.

The aim of the project is to preserve and make accessible the testimonies of Belarus’s recent history, captured in visual and material forms — an effort crucial not only for historical memory but also for supporting the democratic aspirations of Belarusians abroad.
