The Museum of Free Belarus continues the “A Step Forward” exhibition by organizing a charity sale as part of the project. Belarusian artists are invited to participate by offering their works for sale in support of Nina Margaeva. Some of the confirmed participants include artists Lera Lazuk, Sveta Baeva, Ksiša Angelava, and musician-artist Pit Pawlaw.

"A Step Forward" is an exhibition in which Nina Margaeva explores everyday life through simple objects and landscapes, transforming them into symbols of personal experiences and emotions. The main series, “Life on the Fifth Floor”, reflects the solitude and isolation inherent to urban life, where every interior element becomes a metaphor for the inner state of a person.
The charity sale accompanying the exhibition aims to raise funds to support Nina Margaeva, who was diagnosed in January 2023 with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) — a rare, incurable disease that limits mobility and requires constant medical care. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of artworks (after taxes) will go toward her treatment and essential support.
Artists are invited to submit works for the exhibition by October 24. Participation can be anonymous, with the disclosure of the artist’s name only if they wish at the time of sale.
The charity sale opening will take place on October 26 at 16:00, featuring a musical performance by Pit Pawlaw, who will also talk about the presented works. The exhibition will run until November 2.
