The Museum of Free Belarus, located in Warsaw, celebrated its three-year anniversary. In honor of the occasion, a concert was held in the museum’s courtyard featuring Belarusian artists: the bands Zui, Kriwi, and J:Mors leader Uladzimir Pugach. The event also included gifts and ceremonial speeches.
Political prisoner Aleh Kulesha, musician Mikhas Zui, and Head of the National Anti-Crisis Management Pavel Latushka shared their thoughts:
– “This is our museum—for every Belarusian who has begun the struggle, continues it, and believes in this victory,” said Latushka.
Mikhas Zui added: “It’s a great venue. We performed here with ‘Chyn-Chyny’. It’s right in the center of Warsaw. Belarusians can always come here, see an exhibition—basically, it’s their place.”
RR: “Today you gifted a flag to the Museum of Free Belarus.”
Aleh Kulesha: “This is a flag from all the people of Pruzhany. It’s the flag of our city, where the history of regional flags across Belarus began. It’s a flag that embodies the heart of the ‘round-dance cause.’ It’s a flag that has been exposed to gas and water cannons in cities across Belarus.”
Currently, the museum hosts the exhibition Fragments, centered on the institution’s own artifacts. The event’s opening was also timed to coincide with the museum’s anniversary.
At the venue, a concert is being held featuring Belarusian artists: the bands Zui and Kriwi, as well as J:Mors leader Uladzimir Pugach.
