Dear friends, we have launched a fundraising campaign on Gronka for a good cause! This year, the Free Belarus Museum will host a festive Christmas celebration for the children of political prisoners and volunteers.
It is November. Christmas is still a little way off, and festive lights are only beginning to appear in shops. But the decisions we make now will determine whether 50 children get to enjoy a festive celebration with a present in December.

Who are these children?

Their parents are Belarusian political prisoners and volunteers. Some have a mother or father behind bars; others have a parent far away, fighting for freedom in the war. These children have learned far too early what it means to wait. That is why the festive season is especially important to them.

What is the Christmas Celebration?

The Free Belarus Museum in Warsaw brings children together to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. They can look forward to fairytale characters, a festive circle dance, songs in Belarusian, sweet treats, and a present that every child will take home. This year, we expect around 50 children. The venue, programme and performers are already in place. There is just one thing missing: presents.

You can make the celebration special for one child

A donation of €40 will provide a present for one child. Can't contribute €40? A donation of €10 covers a quarter of the cost of a present. Four friends contributing together can make sure another child receives a gift. You can also share the fundraiser — that is another way to contribute to the celebration.

Why donate now?

Good deeds should not be put off until December. The sooner we raise the money, the more time we will have to choose presents with care and love, rather than rushing to buy whatever is left on the shelves at the last minute. Let the season of miracles begin in November — and let it begin with you!

How will the money be spent?

All funds raised will go exclusively towards presents. If we raise more than our target, we will invite more children to the New Year celebration. After the event, everyone who supported the fundraiser will receive a report detailing how much was raised and what was purchased.
Physical rewards can be collected at the Free Belarus Museum (ul. Foksal 11, Warsaw). If you do not need a reward, please let us know!
Help us buy presents and make this celebration truly magical! We have also prepared thank-you gifts and rewards for those who help make the celebration happen.
