Belarus still lives in the shadow of the traumatic events of 2020. Five years later, many people continue to feel inner pain, fear, helplessness, and uncertainty about the future. Trauma does not simply fade away — it needs attention, understanding, and collective effort.

This topic will be the focus of a roundtable discussion taking place on November 1 at 13:00. The event is open to everyone who wants to better understand what has happened to us as individuals and as a society since 2020, and who seeks ways to restore balance and resilience.

During the meeting, participants will learn:

  • how collective and personal trauma manifest in Belarusian society;
  • which emotions and reactions are natural after such experiences;
  • when special attention and professional help are needed;
  • how to gradually rebuild a sense of safety, meaning, and inner stability.

After the main part, there will be an open group discussion where everyone can share their reflections, experiences, or questions — in an atmosphere of support and mutual understanding.

Facilitator: Alena Hrybanava, a crisis psychologist and trauma specialist with over 20 years of professional experience.

The event is open to all:

  • In person: Foksal 11, Warsaw
  • Online: via live stream
