We invite you to a meeting with artist Rufina Bazlova — the author of the well-known “vyzhyvanki”.

During the lab, Rufina Bazlova will talk about her artistic practice and the project #FramedinBelarus, in which stories of Belarusian political prisoners are translated into the language of ornament. Participants will have a chance to try embroidery themselves, learn how to “read” these images, and join a collective practice of solidarity.

Rufina Bazlova’s “vyzhyvanki” have gained international recognition and have become one of the visual symbols of contemporary Belarus — speaking about freedom, resistance, and humanity.
