Join us for a presentation of two books by Mikałaj Dziadok: “Stories from Pockets” and “Technologies of Counter-Revolution.”
“Stories from Pockets” is a personal account of imprisonment, psychological and physical pressure, and the struggle to preserve one’s sense of self under conditions of unfreedom.
“Technologies of Counter-Revolution” offers an analytical examination of the tools an authoritarian state uses to control society and suppress civic activism.
Together, the two works offer an honest perspective on repression in Belarus: the personal experience of imprisonment and an analysis of the mechanisms of state control.
Join us at the Free Belarus Museum for a meeting with the author and a discussion about repression, unfreedom and society.
