On May 16, for the Night of Museums, we invite you to a bagpipe concert and late-night dancing to Belarusian and Polish bagpipes! Let’s celebrate together the opening of the exhibition “Bagpipes: Instrument, History, Symbol” at the Free Belarus Museum and recreate the atmosphere of the legendary Dudarski Club evenings — free-form dance events that were regularly held in Minsk since 2007.

Performers:

  • Dzianis Shmatko, Piatro Marchanka and Zaryna Sheuka (Lity Taler)
  • Yauhen Baryshnikau (Kapela Tryhradzka)
  • the band Warszawskie Burdony
  • Piatro Marchanka
  • Karol Majerowski (Gracze z Łęgu) and Rafał Miśta
  • Aliaksei Shkurapatski

During the concert there will be a dance area with an opportunity to learn the dances. Come on your own and bring your Polish friends!

Where: courtyard of the Museum of Free Belarus, Foksal 11
When: May 16, from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM

And if the weather forecast turns out less than ideal — we’ll fill the museum space with music and dancing anyway. It’s going to be loud!

Public task financed by the City of Warsaw.
