On March 25 at 6:00 PM, the Free Belarus Museum invites you to a meeting במסגרת the new project “Calendar of Free Belarus.”
The event will feature historian Aliaksandr Smalianchuk with a talk titled “The Defeat and Victory of the BNR.”
During the meeting, we will explore why the Belarusian People’s Republic failed to defend the independence proclaimed in 1918, and why, despite this, its history is considered one of the most important victories of the Belarusian nation. We will also look at the political figures who stood at the origins of Belarusian statehood.
History is not only about the past. It is also about how we understand ourselves today and how we build the future.
